I've been with the Interaction team since our first programme on SAT 06 JAN 1990. On that day, we talked about union issues in Warwickshire, England. Our viewership may have grown since then, but we try to make sure that everyone who tunes in can relate in some way to what is going on wherever we're talking.

News has always held a fascination with me, but I well remember my housemates from university: "Ugh, turn off that infernal drivel!" Hopefully we've created a programme that news aficionados will appreciate, but that the most practical of people can also watch with interest.

I think my favourite programmes are the ones during that month when we take a field trip to the site of the Men's World Cup. We have also travelled for each of the last two Women's World Cups. We also try to explore other sports from time to time, so if you're not into football, you needn't feel left out.

They want me to say something about the various awards I've won for the programme, but I didn't really deserve them.

Before Interaction I spent two years reporting for various news radio stations in England. Not much to say about that.

I currently live in Warwickshire with my cat Cronkite. My favourite football team is Ipswich, and my favourite Tube line in London is the Northern Line.
